Citius Altius Fortius 560
I feel really sorry for Dixon (CAN) - that was a "crazy ride" and he fell - it looked that he really wanted to win and he might had won...
nykfan845 51
Looks like the placements will, barring some skiing the run of their lives. Hoping Bode holds on to the bronze position.
micheal_warren 206
Bode Millar gets the bronze!

LuigiVercotti 19
Things are not going too well for Austria so far... Are we going to see a reverse of the Torino scenario when the Swiss had bugger all success on the slopes and it was the Austrians who brought home the bacon
Sir Rols 1902
Pretty quiet here for what should be the Games Blue Riband event. I know there's not many Swiss on the board, but I'm surprised none of our Americans has commented on Bode yet. Come to think of, where's Drunkwithbode?

canuckfan 4
Men's Super Combined canceled for today, new start time TBD. They're forecasting 10 straight sunny days starting tomorow so it should be the last cancellation.

mattperiolat 35
I'm very annoyed with all these cancellations and delays. Welcome to the Winter Olympics. This stuff happens all the time.
christos 0
It's one of the most interesting sports and we have seen almost nothing so far
dave199 57
Congrats to Lindsey Vonn winning the Gold medal in Women's Downhill. The Americans also take Silver with Mancuso. This is turning out to be a great day for the USA. They also just won 2 more medals in the Men's 1000m Long Track Speed Skating. And they will probably win more medals in the Men's Halfpipe. The poor Americanos probably aren't even aware of it yet - until they get their tape delayed NBC pronouncement of it.
dtd2 3
Most Americans who cared did already know. It was on the frontpage of Yahoo and the top story on NBCOlympics.com. Also during the NBC Evening News they showed it. (They put up a graphic and played music, so that way, viewers that didn't want to be spoiled could look away.) ESPN also frequently reported the result. Which is what makes the NBC tape delays pointless.
dave199 57
I'm watching some highlights from todays Downhill. So many big crashes!!

I've been noticing on the board here, it's obvious when the NBC coverage finishes - you get an influx of Americans here all within a few minutes hours after silence all day when the events are on. Pillan 9
I'm watching some highlights from todays Downhill. So many big crashes!! Yeah, many big crashes today. Especially Anja Pärson's crash scared me alot. OUUUUCH! Now they will fix that jump to make it more safe for the athletes.

You got that right! At least I'm in NY so the delay isn't as bad as home in LA, but I have to stay focused on work and STAY OFF LINE and avoid news until I can get to my hotel and start watching coverage at 8pm here. It totally sucks to accidentally see a result before the events air. WHAT A DAY!
dave199 57
It's retarded that NBC isn't showing it live. I'd hate to see a result online first before viewing it on television. It takes all the fun out of it when you already know the ending result. I feel for you guys but on the bright side the USA are doing amazing in the medal table.
nykfan845 51
As long as I've got the Internet, NBC can show paint drying for all I care right now.
