Citius Altius Fortius
Here is the thread, where you can nominate athletes for the Eruedan/LA84 Memorial Medal. The GamesBids Memorial Medal is named after two GB-members, who shared our passion for Olympic Games and "left" us much too early! The Eruedan/LA84 Memorial Medal will be awarded to an athlete, who impressed you at the Vancouver Olympics. Please post here the name of the athlete and a short statement, why you nominate this athlete for the Eruedan/LA84 Memorial Medal Edited February 13, 2010 by Citius Altius Fortius

Great idea, Marts! For the LA84 medal then, could I nominate Citizen-Seth's The Hour in the Grass blog. First rate, interesting and informative. Great blog Seth! Also, another nomination for the Eruedan medal - Slovenia's Petra Majdic, who got bronze in the Ladies Individiual Cross Country ski sprint, after falling in training and competing with a suspected broken rib (since cleared). It was amazing to see her grimacing in pain as she struggled up the field, and still in pain in the dais afterwards. Great never-say-die effort!
