Sir Rols Posted February 10, 2010 Report Posted February 10, 2010 I have a bit of time on my hand. I might be able to try my hand at it. Though it would be a first ever attempt, and I'm not a good graphocs person. Any part icular software recommended to do it?
Aronious Posted February 11, 2010 Report Posted February 11, 2010 I have a bit of time on my hand. I might be able to try my hand at it. Though it would be a first ever attempt, and I'm not a good graphocs person. Any part icular software recommended to do it? SketchUp is the easiest and quickest to learn.
Citius Altius Fortius Posted February 15, 2010 Report Posted February 15, 2010 I think this competition is a great idea, but I "fear" that it is too complicated for me - since I am not used to graphic software and I would like to present a good entry, but I think my know how is not good enough. By the way I would extend the time for sending the entries, scotguy - since I believe most of us are focussing on watching the Vancouver Olympics
Scotguy Posted February 15, 2010 Author Report Posted February 15, 2010 Entrants for the competition can be emailed up until Sunday 7th March
fatixxx Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 I'm in .. Good look to all the contestants
Citius Altius Fortius Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 I am trying to use Corel Draw for a stadium, but I am totally not used to graphic software - therefore I have to practice much much more until I can really take part in this competition..
fatixxx Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 My Stadium Project Name: Sochium Stadium Logo: Winter Characteristic Wave Constructed Roof Logo Bidbook quantity : ± 5 pages with drawings and technical explanation Graphics : implemented visual Bidbook Look for media purposes and National OC Good luck to all the contestants Best Regards Belgium/Brussels fatixxx
Sir Rols Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 You sure love those dynamic waves, fatixx!
Citius Altius Fortius Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 I downloaded Sketch up and it seems a great software, but I need practice in that sofware - it offers a lot of possibilities and I am not sure if I will be able to send an entry in this competition..
DannyelBrazil Posted February 20, 2010 Report Posted February 20, 2010 I like this fatixxx logo. Well usage of colours this time. I'd like to say my project Friendship Stadium/Дружба стадион will be sent in the first week of March
Scotguy Posted March 4, 2010 Author Report Posted March 4, 2010 Only one entrant so far, deadline is this Monday. If no other entrys then Fatix will obv be the winner
fatixxx Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Only one entrant so far, deadline is this Monday. If no other entrys then Fatix will obv be the winner Is this a joke .. i'm not happy with it. Scot give whole GB another chance and create new deadlines. With the overlapping of the WOG in Vancouver, this thread didn't gave us neither a legacy. I'm saying my alternative. What do you think.
Citius Altius Fortius Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 I tried to make an entry - but I am not very used to graphic programmes and I think many have the same problem - therewith I would like to make two proposals: 1.) to extend the deadlines or 2.) to shift the competition to a later time of the year to give us more time to get used to graphic programmes (I wonder why Mo didn't make an entry, since he seems quite good in that)
Sir Rols Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 I tried a few designs, but frankly, I'm sh!t at it. It's the type of thing that requires a bit of expertise. Actually, I'm surprised Mo hasn't entered - I'd have thpought it would be right up his alley. Plus, betweeen the Vancouver games, and now on hols in Japan, just didn't have time. I agree with CAF, maybe shift the deadline.
baron-pierreIV Posted March 10, 2010 Report Posted March 10, 2010 The fantasy com periods are too short. They should be at least 3 weeks long.
Scotguy Posted March 11, 2010 Author Report Posted March 11, 2010 hey guys my pc has broken hence y i havnt been on here lately using my ps3 which is nt as good think u guys r right, willpostpone the comp until later in the year perhaps may time hope to have my pc running soon.
El tico de GamesBids.com Posted March 16, 2010 Report Posted March 16, 2010 Too bad I didn't know about this before I can use SkechtUp and Illustrator and Photoshop if any graphics are needed.
