Wow...talk about media sensationalism. I have never seen so many factual errors in one newscast. Both by the idiot reporter and anchor woman:

From Russia Today:

Because of these Games, there are 3,000 homeless in our city? The Games cost $6-billion? jesus christ. These numbers are all from anti-Games activist Chris Shaw...if you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. While I do believe many things did go wrong with how Beijing prepared its Olympics, to an extent I do believe much of it was sensationalized by Western media.

Thanks to our local media spouting half-truths, the world thinks they are true and it's being broadcasted around the world. Great job Canwest! Great job CBC! You did us proud...

As a gamer, all I can say is that VANOC is getting easy... I don't think I've ever seen a news report about video-game that was even as much as half-accurate. If you want to get a gamer going, mention Jack Thompson, Michael Atkinson (especially if the gamer happens to be Australian) or, better still, put "Mass Effect" and "Fox News" in the same sentence...

The point being, the media likes a good story, true of half-true.
