Olympian2004 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Sometimes it's a good idea to stay up in the middle of the night despite having to get up at 6 a.m. again for work -- or a terribly bad one, since I will hardly be able to sleep now. Well, that setting inside BC Place looks interesting. And now I can imagine how that ski jump/Olympic Rings arrangement looks like. But where are the drapes covering the roof? And where will the 360 degrees screen go when the cauldron is lit and rises?

Olympian2004 Posted February 9, 2010 Report Posted February 9, 2010 Wait, wait, wait -- I think that so many people who witnessed previous rehearsals and said it was awesome can't be wrong. From what I've read on those Twitter accounts from various visitors of today's rehearsal, it sounds rather as a rough rehearsal mostly containing the audience interaction segments. Maybe even the sound system wasn't in "ceremony mode" yet. But the roof not being covered is a real surprise and will most probably not be changed, with only four days left. At least on those rather blurry pictures, you don't notice really how dirty the roof is. I think the main dress rehearsal on Wednesday will be much more representative for what we have to expect on Friday.

VANOC were able to keep the secret this far, they predicted (funny, huh?) pics would be revealed in twitter and other social media. They wouldn't give it just a few days before the big show. Still confident we'll have an amazing OC.

From the tweets I read people seemed to be having a great time. Also, many people pledged not to talk about it, so I'm guessing its good...why keep the secret that it sucks, right?
