mr.x
Sun on the Opening Ceremony, to bad it's indoors. The sun doesn't matter...it'll be dark by 5 pm. Rain and cloud cover for those helicopter shots is what matters, and the forecast will probably change considering this is a 2-week outlook.
mr.x
If you want the real competition forecast at all Olympic venues, go to Environment Canada's website: http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/2010/index_e.html VANOC and Environment Canada (federal gov't) spent millions installing weather detection devices at all the Olympic sites. cormiermax
Anyone hear anything about Cypress Mountain? CTV said they where having trouble making snow because of the warmth?
cormiermax
CTV just had an update, There now trucking in snow from a mountain two hours away. I'm starting too think VANOC may be loosing control of the situation.
mr.x
Looking great next week, but not too great for the first week of the Games...hopefully the forecast changes:
Olympian2004
Looking great next week, but not too great for the first week of the Games...hopefully the forecast changes: I hoped that the Olympic gods show mercy and bring colder, more wintery weather to Vancouver in time for the Games -- but that rather looks like the opposite. But maybe that's a kind of preparation for Sochi which will probably not be very wintery either.

GoNutz
That's a whole lot of not good :-( dude that sucks. Meanwhile, here we've been ok not too bad with that last storm like an inch maybe two, but now we're expecting 5-6 inches and up by Toledo they're getting 8-12inches, they've got a Winter Storm Warning, haha come on Vancouver spare us, and take this weather off our hands!
