fineshot2000 Posted February 2, 2010 Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 Lindsey Vonn winning 4 gold medals? She's a great skiier but no way is she winning that many. I don't believe she'll even even medal in the Slalom, and mabye win the Silver in the Combined. She's weaker in the techincal events. I have Germany winning the most medals but Canada winning the most gold (well, tied with Norway): 1-Germany: 8g - 17s - 7b = 32 2-Canada: 11g - 9s - 8b = 28 3-USA: 6g - 9s - 8b = 25 4-Norway: 11g - 7s - 6b = 24 5-Austria: 7g - 4s - 9b = 20 6-Russia: 5g - 5s - 8b = 18 7-Sweden: 5g - 3s - 7g = 15 8-S.Korea: 5g - 4s - 4b = 13 9-France: 4g - 1s - 8b = 13 10-China: 5g - 3s - 4b = 12 (...) 15-Italy: 1g - 2s - 2b = 5 (Ouch!) After going through every disciplines, here are some comments: -Germany has by far the most depth, but not that many gold medal favorites. Their success basically depends on their sliders, Maria Reisch and Magdalena Neunner. -It's basically the same thing for the United States. They have a lot of good athletes but not many favorites except for Lindsay Vonn and their snowboarders. -I listed 73 realistic medal chances for Canada (meaning athletes who've been on the podium in a particular event in the last 2 years). -I have Japan winning 8 medals, but no gold...
