Vancouver Parade Of Nations Signs

Recommended Posts

Same alphabet, but different spelling.

For instance United States, Etais-Unis?

I asked this question earlier. I imagine it will go in the English order as it is the official language of british columbia (only NB is bilingual) and because of the simple understanding that it is the dominant language of the spectators.

Holy crap, the English announcer sounds like a cliche English speaker talking to a foreigner who doesn't understand, so they simply talk louder and more slowly. "LAAADIES AAAAND GENTLLLEMENNNN"

LAAAAAAADIESSSSSS AAAAAAND GENNNNTLEMENNNNNNNN, I LIIIIKE TOOOOOO HHHEEAARRR THEEEEE SOOOOOOUNDDDDDD OFFFFFF MYYYYY OOOOOOOWNNNN VOICEEEEE!

I think it was just the Closing. There weren't too many clowns (well...) and commedia del'arte elements in the Opening. The Opening was more regional and ending on a note of high theatre (Pavarotti's swan song).

The theme of the Closing was "Italian Carnival".

The Carnival is celebrated in Italy every year in February.
