Flame Will Burn Inside Dome: Confirmed To Bc Government

Recommended Posts

Here is a link to a Secret Report to the BC Government requesting a 25 million BTU gas line to the center of the floor:

http://vancouver.24hrs.ca/News/local/2010/01/03/DAEP.pdf

Highlights:

A10) Cauldron Gas Pipeline and Supply (Managed and Contractred by PAVCO)

a) "Supply Pipeline and Supply

Supply and install a new 25 million BTU 2 psi gas pipeline including meter upgrade, pipework to center of FOP as required

B) Cauldron Permits and Approvals

Help acquire all permits, licenses, documentation, approvals and certification as required for the installation."

Too bad Mr. X is banned from Skyscraperpage. He could reveal this to the world.

25 million BTUs of gas entering BC Place. That's a lot of fuel to go wrong.

The Flame is burning in the dome. It's official. Done deal. Get ready for hell on earth

So, indulge me one little hypothetical question, if you can. What would say if (and only IF) the whole BC Place doesn't turn into one hellpit thanks to the cauldron?

1) This document has been posted in the existing main topic about the Ceremonies. Its contents have already been thoroughly discussed here and abroad.

2) Another topic about a flame + dome? Really??? Are you really that sick? Why do you insist on digging your own grave?

3) Not banned. ;) You could try posting there if you want...create a new account, post some absurdities that will let everyone know you're that crazy guy, and the mods will ban you for the 26th time?

To others: Ignore the troll, it's the best thing anyone can do to deal with the sicko.

anyone that would waste so much of their life posting 20,000 times on here is a bit crazy too

JLousa no doubt banned you on skyscraperpage once he realized you posted almost 20,000 times on here

20,000 posts spanning 8 years and mostly during the exciting 2010 bid phase; Olympics in Athens, Torino, and Beijing; and posting on the bid phases for competitions including 2012 = not crazy. ;)

But do you know what's crazy? Posting about a roof collapsing/exploding over and over and over again., making 30+ accounts to re-enter a site you were previously banned from and would be banned again and again once mods knew it was you...bravo towerguy, indeed bravo.

The final word on the roof and the cauldron is this...if the cauldron was going to cause the roof to collapse, it would have collapsed by now. Why? By the pure rules of logic, the cauldron would have been installed and tested by now. They would want to make sure everything is working well and that they have made adjustments for light, heat, etc... There is no way that February 12 will be the first time that cauldron is set afire.

The question is not if the cauldron will be inside the stadium. We already know that, the leaked construction pictures showing the augmentation of the centre of the field shows that the cauldron will indeed be there. The question will be as such, how will it emerge? Will there be a speeches podium in it's place to distract most people's attention?

That said, it is no doubt that they have tested such a device, both in another internal structure (i.e where the cauldron was constructed) and in BC Place Stadium itself.

Ideally, we would have wanted either an opened air ceremony or one as dramatic with a retractable roof so as to see the lit cauldron act as a mechanism to open the retractable roof. There for you get a ceremonies with the best of both worlds.

But that is not the case, I'm sure the purely indoors ceremony will be spectacular, but the idealistic use of a retractable roof should have been thought of earlier.

At any rate, the discussion is all but over, the roof will most certainly not burn, after all, the drapery they're using to cover the filth on the inside of the roof would most likely be fire retardant.
