jawnbc
If anyone's in the Kamloops/Merritt area, I've received the details of my torch segment run: around 6pm on Saturday 06 February in Logan Lake BC. It's about 400km from Vancouver so I don't expect m/any personal supporters...but you're all more than welcome. Husband and I will fly to Kamloops Friday night, drive over to Logan Lake Saturday arvo, then fly back Sunday morning. Soooo excited!!!!!

Sir Rols
Congratulations and enjoy, jawn! I hope you post some pics. BTW - don't forget to ask the mod to change your member status once you've done the run - one of our members who carried the torch for Athens (Pyrros) also got acknowledgement and recognition for it in their profile! Citius Altius Fortius
wow - I love these gloves!!! B) I just wonder, if these gloves are really good to hold the torch - I mean isn't it better to hold the torch without gloves - due a better hold... jawnbc
Thanks folks! It's actually 28 days from today! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! The gloves are very kewl, especially the grippy maple leafs. I'm still chuckling over the XS uniform though: I originally asked for a M then rang up and asked for S after reading a number of torchbearers saying theirs were way too big. I'm running in Logan Lake BC around 55pm on Saturday 06 February. Logan Lake is 50km north of Merritt and 60km south of Kamloops. In case any of you want to come along

In case any of you want to come along I think you are looking great in the XS uniform - maybe they run out of S and therewith they thought you can wear XS, since you asked for M originally... I would have loved to come to Vancouver, but I had to recognised that most of the Lufthansa Flights FRA-YVR are full Edited January 9, 2010 by Citius Altius Fortius

stir.ts
I'm finding flights from California very cheap all through the games. I guess there are so many on that route.
memorabilia
That's why I booked the first day it was physically possible to! There is still reasonable air fares from europe with one connection within US or Quebec. And as most of the european have to get a connection to go in Vancouver (exept you live near Heathrow, Amsterdam or Francfort)... it's not a big difference of journey's duration... Sir Rols
What happened to Pyrros - hasn't been around since Beijing :-( I looked at his profile yesterday - he hasn't logged on since August 27 2008 - right after Beijing. Pity. And he had such a silly departure too - right after he was in a huge huff about the Beijing OC and the fact that many people here liked it better than Athens' - to the point of accusations of anti-Greek conspiracy! Sigh. He'd been a good member.
4gamesandcounting
Lets hope we see him back for Vancouver - games time usually brings people back - in my few years off I logged back on around Torino time to check things out and left a few posts. jawnbc
Apparently Air Canda out of FRA isn't ful, which would probably be Edmonton or Calgary. Or LH to Calgary then AC. Or LH to LHR then AC to YVR.... So you'll go to Oslo for the Eurovision instead? jawnbc
That is so Greek. One of my best friends is Greek and whenever anyone criticizes anything Greek it's a conspiracy. Must be a holdover from the days of the Athens Agora. I looked at his profile yesterday - he hasn't logged on since August 27 2008 - right after Beijing. Pity. Yeah - Oslo would be nice (altough I am not a fan of "Fairytale")- mayb there will be Hamburg 2011 next year By the way did you ever heard Céline Dion's German version of "Ne partez pas sans moi"? (the lyrics are totally different to the french original - it is called "Hand in Hand")

jawnbc
I have "Hand in Hand". Strange there's no English version with a German title. Have you heard Céline's version of «Un jour, un enfant» live? Did I get you right, that you mean that there are no english versions of German titles? Is Jericho far away from Vancouvers city center?
