Faster
Well the ticketing website is down with promises of new and exciting features. Therefore the resale application is being added and will be up on the 21st.

IamHydro
I am hoping to unload a few tickets too (face value). It is probably safe to assume that listing them here wouldn't fly with the moderators - right?
GBModerator
Face value ticket sales are okay. Vancouver 2010 has a ticket announcemment on Monday - I believe it will be for their resale marketplace. Stay tuned.
jawnbc
I tried to PM you but your box was full. Can you email me details: jawnbc at gmail dot com ? Thanks! PM me and I will message you back.Does anyone know if the ticket marketplace (that is being launced on Monday), will be open to everyone or just Canadians? Officialy, it's only for people living in Canada. But not sure, it will block if you put your international adress. The main thing is to have an Visa card. When i pick up my tickets this week they only required a visa card and an id with picture (i gave my french passport). They did not ask for an id with my canadian adress... or proof of residence in Canada. At worst, if the website block with your international adress, try to put your local adress at Games Time... thespian333
Does anyone know a good place where I could purchase tickets. I am still looking for 3 or 4 more events, but I don't know what is safe and secure and what is not.
drowninginair
The resale marketplace is up and seems to be working quite well. I've got a couple of my extra's posted on there now.

I've just been on and it looks like you can buy as an international visitor and pick up your tickets from the box office. Looks like they add a 10% premium to whatever price the seller is asking too. drowninginair
There are also seems to be a few newly released tickets available for most events. (not fan-to-fan, brand new releases). I was able to pick up 4 tickets to the Russia-Czech Men's Hockey game right behind the benches (9th Row), so there are some really good seats up... Faster
Yea I got short track. I have a question, I seem to have the understanding the VANOC will be issuing new tickets that have been sold and the sellers tickets will either be deactivated/not sent. drowninginair
Yeah. They will deactivate the barcode on any already delivered tickets, and those that buy through the fan-to-fan marketplace will have to pick theirs up in person from the distribution centre. Faster
I had two up for sale, one is already gone. I think I am one of the few that only wants to get their money back and not try to make a massive profit.
drowninginair
Good to hear you moved some already. I'm trying for 2-3x face value to start with, and will bring them down if they don't move in a week or two. I'm really only after face-value back, but if I can make some money to offset flights/hotels, then I will. Figure better to start high and come down than miss out on any potential $. I think the key is just generally to be one of the cheapest on the list, and on 2/3 events I'm still either the cheapest, or the only one with tickets up. Chateau Petrus
I got this morning FR007 (Women's Free Style Aerial Final) So there's only one ticket remaining in my wish list, ST005 (Short Track Speed Skating)
costa79
I've been lurking on the boards for a while, but thought I'd share some details about my Olympic trip. This morning I managed to get tickets to Ladies' Aerials Qualifiations (FR003) and Men's 1500m Speed Skating (regular sales, not through the marketplace). We're still hoping to get tickets for an Alpine Skiing event and Skeleton... But looks like there isn't any tickets for Whistler in the marketplace yet... I've also purchased tickets for my brother and I to: - Men's Hockey (Canada v Norway, Russia v Slovakia) - Women's Curling (qualifiers, with a Canada game) - Men's 1000m Speed Skating - Men's Ski Cross - Biathlon (BT004) I'm looking forward to it! We also went to Torino where we saw Aerials, Biathlon, Alpine Skiing, Men's Hockey (Canada v Finland), Speed Skating (2 events), Short Track. Faster
Today I bought ST002 - Women's 500m ST003 - Men's 1000m And sold ST002 - Category B - $200 SS007 - Category A - $210 I wish I had gone to $260 for SS007. I thought that ST's started at 9pm, but they started at 7, so had to change pick between Men's 1000m SS or Women's 500m ST and Men's 1500m or Men's 1000m. So I made my choices. I have CU012 up for sale, at $70 dollars.
Chateau Petrus
I was curious yesterday to know how the resale thing work I put on sale one of my extras tickets, SB001 cat A (wich I paid 125$) for 300$ This morning, surprise, my ticket is sold
Faster
Yea, I kinda regret not asking for more, since most tickets are in the multiple hundreds of dollars per. But I don't mind.
jmanzz
Can't believe what some of these non-Canada hockey prices are. I really don't believe people will pay above face. I think these game prices will go down rapidly as the games approach. What i am seeing is that the 2010 fan to fan prices are higher then some of the secondary brokers, thats a sure sign that people are asking too much. Chateau Petrus
Not all the offers are overprice. Yes there's some exageration with B Category ticket fot the Canada-USA game at 10,000$ each or Bobsleigh final at 2,000$ each, or Alpine Skiing at 3,000$ each (for a 150$ face value) But there's also very nice offers at very reasonable price. I let go yesterday one of my Freestyle Skiing Final for 150$CAN, a ticket I paid 135$CAN. Less than an hour after, it was sold. And I'm pretty sure that if it's a person from outside Canada who bought it, he got my ticket at less than the original price he had to pay in Phase I considering the extra fees asked by Cosport or Sportsworld. I have presently 5 or 6 tickets in sale, and they are all at very low price. So, go often (few times a day) on the Resale site and you will find some bargain (and also some very exagerate price that I'm sure will never be sold) But, those bargain never stay long because lots of peoples worldwide check often the offers in search of those reasonable prices.
