My opinion. Next Brazilian Olympic Games (after 2120) will be in Rio de Janeiro again. If not Rio, Brasilia or Curitiba are the best "second-choices" for this. Of course based on today data. But who

I've been to Montevideo last december and got good time there. But the city has nothing fantastic, the Centenario stadium seems to be never refurbished and it was like make a time travel to past... Mo

After checking both bids, my preference is still with Santiago. The project is flawless and while Peru could add history, the Chileans have an interesting culture.

Also, with Buenos Aires hosting the Youth Olympic Games, Chile could use this experience as a potential bid at the Summer Olympic. IMO, Chile is the only viable country with the potential and resources after the two giants of South America -Brazil and Argentina-.

Hello, new argentine member here :)

First of all, sorry for our joke bid. It was a very bad gamble from this idiots of COA.

Second, what's the deal with this guy Dannyel?, he keeps bashing Argentina in every single comment I have read, it's like he has an obsession with us...

I'm eating my nails.... I'm eager to know the winner city.

Honestly, I think this is the greater chance Chile has to become the Pan Am host for the first time... Really, It's now or never...

Gosh! We have 70% of venues ready!!!!!

I found this post in a newspaper from San Luis, Argentina. It is a bit old (July) and It focuses on the chances of La Punta.
According to a poll done to PASO members, 46.79% would vote for Santiago, 33.28% for Lima, Bolívar with a 13,81 % and La Punta only with a 6,12%.
A Peruvian poll have similar results: Santiago 46.67%, Lima 33.33%, Bolívar 13.33% y La Punta 6.67%.

It's not sure that Santiago will win, but at least it backs the idea of Santiago and Lima as frontrunners (in line with La Tercera publication)

Nothing surprising for this. Rosario was a better bid for Argentina. I hope this became real

Ooh eck. Does the minister have any evidence or is she just trying to weaken a rival?

I think it is serious. Eduardo Alvarez, president of the venezuelan NOC said that Peru is offering training scholarships for US$100,000, 4 touristic programs and a laptop for every member of the NOC that vote for them. Pretty serious.

Sorry, from what I'm able to understand from the article this doesn't seem to be a "bribes", but kind of official documented offerings? Did I understand well?

First of all, I said it wrong. Venezuelan NOC is upset with the Peruvian delegation attitude, saying that they are not playing fair, AND, by the other hand, there's a document from other PASO member, detailing things that Lima is offering.

The point is that the Venezuelan delegation is very upset with them.
