My opinion. Next Brazilian Olympic Games (after 2120) will be in Rio de Janeiro again. If not Rio, Brasilia or Curitiba are the best "second-choices" for this. Of course based on today data. But who

I've been to Montevideo last december and got good time there. But the city has nothing fantastic, the Centenario stadium seems to be never refurbished and it was like make a time travel to past... Mo

Why did Argentina pick a city of 15,000 that is 500km away from the nearest water. I wouldn't be surprised to see it get over 5 votes. Really bizarre.

Rosario would have had possibilities, very akward Argentina's choice :S

^^ I agree. Rosario would have been a great candidate. I still don't get why they got picked instead. I'm also surprised Bogota decided to not submit a bid for 2019 (meanwhile, San Juan preferred to bid for 2023).

My hopes goes for Puerto Ordaz but honestly I think Santiago will get this.

I think Puerto Rico felt it was South America's turn. However if they bid as the only Caribbean candidate with the other 4 vote splitting they might have pulled off the shock win.

Plus, Messi was supporting the bid in a few ads they launched at Youtube. La Punta is the Pan American Hambantota of the day.

^ Kindda worst than Hambantota :(, Sri Lanka didn't have a lot of choices and Colombo is crowded... Argentina had a lot of cities better than La Punta.

I support Santiago... Chile is an amazing country! And in second place I support Puerto Ordaz.

Well La punta has the most compact plan with all venues apparently 10 mins away. (Which I dont understand considering where will the sailing be?) Ian Troop thinks it is a good plan because it contrasts the big city games of Toronto 2015.

Sad news. The creator of the logo/mascot of San Luis bid and famous cartoonist Manuel Garcia Ferre died today in Buenos Aires.
