Roltel, I liked the logo, but for a moment I thought it was a guy making mess during a surf session... LOL

Thanks for the feedback danny! I was focussed more on how the blue olympic ring looked against a darker blue, or whether irt should be white that I didn't twig to that. Anyway, easily fixed. Here's my logo now, as standard, and in b&w:

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm honoured to present you my official proposal for this fantasy Rio 2016 logo competition.

And all aplications (with some extra) asked for the judgement comission:

Main meaning: The olympic flame in the shape of Sugar Loaf montain (the most iconic symbol of Rio de Janeiro, recognized internationally).

The curves also represents Copacabana sidewalks, the shore of Rio de Janeiro and also the mountains of the city.

The colours in the complete logo reminds to the coast of Rio and also to the Brazilian flag.

The passion of Rio and the colours of a vibrant people fanatic for its carnaval is also represented.

The shape also stands for a sensation of continuous movement, in a sports-way.

This logo can be used only by GameBids.com forums users for the purpose of this competion. No other uses of this logo are allowed.

I never saw a logo whereby the rings are positioned in the right-above-corner.

Why not to take the rings beneath the entire logo .??

" Rio de Janeiro " as it's the name of the city .. it's just to close with the logo ?!?

Or, you can switch the rings and the name of the city .. did you've tried that.

In any case this one .. is really dynamic one ..

About the rings, since London 2012 logo, it seems rings can go everywhere in the logo.

BTW, London 2012, the rings are also top-right:

In my idea, I put the rings there to make the olympic logo in top (of the montain) as a podium (maybe).

About the name of the city. Yes, it's too close of the rest of the drawing... Well, when I put the rings in the top-right I broke a tradition of Olympic Logo, so with don't put all together and make the logo with things inside a invisbile quarter margin?

I could put Rio (without De Janeiro) 2016 above the logo and the olympic rings in the bottom. But it would be so normal/not original...

London 2012 opened it to new creations and I enjoy to follow this legacy.

Well, I'm not a huge expert/supporter/fan on winter games, but in my logo I tried to put all olympic spirit from entire world (represented by different snowflakes with different colours) into a stylized bobsled (the winter sport I like more). The bobsled have the Russian colours.

The bobsled seems to be in movement.

The final meaning is: Athletes from around the world are going together to the Russian Games.

Introducing the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games Logo.

The design recalls the glories of Faberge Art and is a recurring theme in the games, particularly in the architectural style of the Olympic venues.

The flag of Russia, slightly waved, forms the background of the Faberge tile pattern. Minimalism is the key in providing a logo which is easily identifiable and stands out on it's own.

Hope you like it.

This one looks cool, clean and professional. Wish I knew more about Sochi so I could attempt one. I'm getting excited about ski season in North America, I have a good feeling about conditions this year.

Here is my logo for Rio 2016

The logo containing the word RIo as the main item, is for simplicity and everyone will know where the games and action will be happening in 2016.

The colours, symbolise the colours of the Olympics and also the colourful and vibrant nature of the city itself and to portray the citys carnival atmosphere.

The words themselves and the way in which they are presented symbolise movement, movement of the olympic games to brazil and movement of the athletes in sport.

The logo is vibrant and colourful and can be incorporated onto merchandise and promotional material. It does carry on from some of the designs of Londons logo and to continue the modern and new roads the olympics are taking.

Here is the logos presented in the other six forms which have all been sent for the competition.

From the logos that i have seen so far, i would like to congratulate everyone, as they are all very high quality, and i wish everyone competing the best of luck.
