cube Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 hi! the 2022 CWG voting is underway right now. and so i had the idea to have a Design-Competition too my idea is to have a Logo-Design-Competition for the winner of the CWG 2022 Bid as example if Singapore is the winner for 2022 the competition would be to Design a Logo for the 2022 CWG, and so on. please tell me if you like the idea or not
Scotguy Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 If Toronto wins the 2022 vote then we would have no problems in letting the members of Gamesbids design a Games logo, we would welcome any ideas
Rob2012 Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Not a bad idea. I quite like the idea of a Rio 2016 contest for our next logo competition. I floated the idea in the Rio forum a few weeks ago and a lot of people seemed keen.
Citius Altius Fortius Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 I agree with Rob - I really like the idea of a Rio 2016 logo contest!!
cormiermax Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Yeah a Rio 2016 logo comp would be really cool.
Sir Rols Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Yeah, and the Brazilians did seem to be itching for it as well.
thatsnotmypuppy Posted November 4, 2009 Report Posted November 4, 2009 Actually you are all jumping the gun - the next comp was going to be an 'Olympic Look' competition. Logos, buntings, overall look of a Games - like that guy from Harbin did this year... Different uses of the logo, a slogan - all that stuff. We can do it for Rio or for another city - but Rio could work well. It might be hard to spot the copied logos though. Lets get the CG22 one done and then we'll start
Scotguy Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 The idea of this competition itself is not a new idea, it has been suggested before, including by myself
