Germany's Outfit For Vancouver 2010

(I "love" especially the "MORK OF ORK" outfit from Sapporo)

Sapporo 1972

I just recognised that the original title isn't "Mork of Ork" but "Mork and Mindy" - in Germany it is called "Mork of Ork"

Aren't there similiarities to the outfit of Sapporo 1972?

It just seems Bogner had way too much gold for the German Olympic uniforms. But that's the least of my worries for me. I can do without the vest's colors, but I can see why the colors are gender specific. I was expecting red or black on that. Overall, the uniforms are OK.

That "Mork look" from Sapporo reminds me more of that Bruce Lee suit from Game Of Death that Uma Thurman similiarly later wore on Kill Bill: Vol 2. But the near skintightness surely brings the former up.

Maria Riesch sure looks a lot like Franka Potente.

I'm quite underwhelmed. Besides the blue and pink vests, I don't really like the yellow/gold/whatever basic colour of the ceremonial outfits. For Games hosted in Canada, I would have expected rather a shade of red -- just like in Torino when the German outfits was coloured in a light green, white and orange, thus denoting the colours of the Italian flag.

All in all, the outfits of the two previous Winter Olympics were better.
