Those two sets of little houses behind the buildings on the hillside are two favelas (Babilônia e Chapéu Mangueira) which are currently pacified through the new UPP programs. The district on the picture is Leme, which is in one of the sides of the Copacabana beach.

Good to say that, since there are media (specially from Spain) saying Rio 2016 have hidden favelas on Rio bid material, which is a big lie... Of course, they main focus of the clips was not the favelas, but Rio bid DIDN'T deleted them digitally from the clips and pictures. If you watch the clips, all of them are there.

The official name of the Rio 2016 is: Games of the XXXI Olympiad Rio de Janeiro 2016 or Jeux de la XXXIe Olympiade Rio de Janeiro 2016 or Jogos da XXXI Olimpíada Rio de Janeiro 2016.

But, for me, it's unacceptable the no links for other Olympic games sites or even the olympic.org... But, maybe Rio-OCOG shold be waiting some official act from IOC to do this.

A bit of disappointment at first is understandable. After a while it just gets bitter and cheap. Rio won. Ok, Chicago loses, it's a big disappointment (I would be very sad if Rio lost), but he is from LA, a city with two Olympic Games in its history, LA 84 is recognized for its excellence and the begining of a new era... I'm not sure about Chicago being an iconic hots for the Olympic Movement as LA was or can be again in the future (why not? London is hosting for the third time).
