Question About Medal Ceremonies

Recommended Posts

I thought they were all to be held at the medal ceremony event each night. But I am probably wrong here.

Yes you're wrong. Some events (mainly ice events) have their victory ceremony on site.

Here is the details : http://www.vancouver2010.com/dl/00/13/35/v...n_fr_00d-RU.pdf (the one with the blue round are on venues)

If I remember correctly at Torino and SLC the Figure Skating and Short Track medals were presented immediately after the event - and I am sure that is all? Everyone else gets them at the medal ceremony - and the figure skating/short track athetes still got presented and had the anthem again.

I may be wrong though..?

Thanks! So it looks like Figure Skating, some Short Track, Ice Hockey, some Speed Skating, some Snowboarding, and Curling.

SO which events do actually take place at the medal ceremonies - looks like none! Unless they all get the medals presented again at the ceremony?!

Ah - sorry just seen the link to the table which is fairly comprehensive.
