Quero aproveitar o programa do PAC - disse Coaracy.

CBDA preparing projects for the London Olympic Games and Rio-2012-2016

President of the Confederation speaks detection program talent around the country and project to the construction of swimming pools in communities

The Olympic Games-2004 put an end to a winning streak started in 1992 with the generation of Gustavo Borges and Fernando Scherer. Fasting has been broken by Cesar Cielo Beijing-2008 and the Brazilian Confederation of Sports (CBDA) expects to be the last. On Wednesday, Coaracy Nunes, president of the organization, met with supervisors of swimming, water polo, synchronized swimming, diving and aquatic marathons and has a homework assignment: to develop a project aiming at the London Games in 2012 and Rio -2016, to be delivered on November 15. After that, the CBDA will present its final proposal to the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB).

The idea, according to the manager, is to have a program to detect talent in all regions of the country, taking advantage of good infrastructure for local clubs so they can prepare. Coaracy will also submit a project to the governor Sergio Cabral who believes it is important to also help in terms of mass: the construction of 25m pools in the communities.

- The generation that will be better than the current. We had 40 hit records in the championships category and we think of a plan involving the athletes of this generation for 2012 and the new for 2016. We can not forget two of the Pan-American also. We want a project up to the Olympics. I also have a governor to build swimming pools in the slums where we can place 1,500 children in each, giving a scholarship and school food in the same place. I want to take the program PAC - Coaracy said.

He has also scheduled a meeting with the president of BOC, Nuzman to talk about the possibility of the river to run for the seat of the World Aquatics Championships in 2015. In 1995, the city hosted the World Cup short course (25m) in the arena set up on Copacabana beach.

- We have yet to see the position of the COB and the IOC in this regard. If you agree, the league could serve as a test event one year before the Olympics in Rio

The facilities for the 2016 Olympics will come in Rio de Janeiro shortly. But for now, the modern look promised by the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB) exists only in computer graphics. It was precisely this model that the organization submitted a projection of what will happen to local evidence, budget and schedule of works.

Only for the construction of the Olympic Village will be spending R$ 854 million and R$ 331.5 million to raise the scratch Olympic Training Center, where there will be evidence of basketball, judo, wrestling, taekwondo and handball. In addition, facilities with less than two years now will need reforms: almost R$ 60 million to modify the velodrome built for the Pan-American Games in Rio (2007), which no longer serves to host the Games.

- We have to increase capacity from 1,200 to 5,000 seats and put air conditioning, a requirement of the IOC. This makes the structure of the velodrome has to be substantially changed - said the secretary general of the Organizing Committee Rio 2016, Carlos Roberto Osório.

In the region of Diodorus, west of the city, will be made for new buildings and temporary, and remedial actions. The Arena, which will be played evidence of modern pentathlon and fencing, it will be built and will cost R$ 70 million. Like her, the Centers for Olympics Canoeing and BMX will also be created for R$ 44 million and R$ 11 million, respectively. The Mountain Bike Park and Center Ice are temporary, or disappear after the Games, but will cost R$ 53 million.

In the area of reform, the work in the National Shooting Center has an expense of R$ 4.4 million to expand the stadium Engenhão will need R$ 70 million. Maracanã Maracanãzinho and there will be work, because these sites will be ready after the World Cup in 2014.

And swimming will get a new house for R$ 64 million, the cost of raising the Olympic Stadium, Water Sports, which will be next to Maracana, in place of the current Julio Delamare Aquatic Park, which will be demolished.

However, after the analysis of so much work that needs to be done in seven years, the Brazilian Olympic Committee (IOC), has no doubts that everything will be delivered on time. After all, if there are delays, the penalty will be severe.

- Everything that is in the Olympic project will be executed. If not, the Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, may be sanctioned. The sanction of the IOC, the extreme case, may be the cancellation of the award of the Games.

Media seems to forget that PanAm stadia was not planned for Olympic Games... But as an advantage for the bid... A half-way for the Olympic plan...

Almost all venues was already planned to be expanded if Rio wins 2016...
