cormiermax
Well it's pretty obvious now, from what I can see it doesn't look too bad.
Ikarus360
Umm..that looks like some kind of campfire-shaped cauldron. I remember some users suggested the cauldron would be a campfire, so this is very curious and ironic
NY20??
The shape isn't knew - there were similar pictures taken and posted before. That's why people thought it's going to be a camp fire. The shape isn't knew - there were similar pictures taken and posted before. That's why people thought it's going to be a camp fire. Whoa a little dyslexic tonight; excuse me.
Torchbearer AA
In which sections of the stadium do the dignitaries sit? And where the press and broadcasters?
Olympian2004
One nostalgic moment, as we're heading towards the last 24 hours before Vancouver's big moment -- the performance of "O Canada" at BC Place for the closing ceremony of Expo 86. Be warned of serious 80s hairstyles! I think that they'll pull off an even better performance of the anthem tomorrow.
Scotguy
I watched the Torino Opening Ceremony today, forgot how stylish and well presented it was
LuigiVercotti
Heard that two Sydney 2000 ceremonies vets, David Atkins and Ignatius Jones are involved in Vancouver's Opening...nice to see such continuity from Oz. And just in case you don't know who Ignatius Jones is take a peek at this vid from his 'Jimmy & The Boys' days: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGDakKx4_FY

Durban Sandshark
You know how badass it would be, with this Opening Ceremony being indoors, if the lights went out during the end of the Parade of Nations at the BC Place just before Clara Hughes and the Canadian contingent appear to the deafening roars of the pro-Canada crowd? Think of it like these memorable entrances (more so for the latter) . Maybe this is where a lot of NBA teams get their home intros inspiration from. I hope the Consortium's coverage of the OC is commercial free up there.

"Ignatius" is originally from the Philippines. His real family name is "Trepaga." They are/were part of a mass exodus of Hispanic-Filipinos who migrated to Oz (and Spain and the US) in big waves in the 60s and 70s.
