micheal_warren Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Good Luck Rio. Although I support Chicago I wish you all the best
Guardian Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Five minutes to go. Besides, if Rio does win the bid for the 2016 Olympic Games, my guess is that it will be the first Portuguese-speaking country to do it, just like Mexico City 1968 (first Spanish-speaking country to host one before the mother country got its chance in 1992).
Guardian Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Well, the live feed is back on and we await for the Rio de Janeiro bid delegation to arrive.
Citius Altius Fortius Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Lula looks nervous - stage fright?
NOC Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 May the Gods of the Olympic Games shine down on you Rio 2016
thatsnotmypuppy Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 My prediction - lots of cool images in the videos including a fly over the Christ statue, hot gals and guys on the beach, a full Olympic Stadium, rainforest shots etc etc. Prince Albert will ask if they can put some curtains between him and the favela and also if the smell of the Tokyo fish market will reach Rio. That Ali guy will question the village - "will it have toilets that work?" and the athlete commission chick will crap on about the size of the warm up area at the aquatic centre. PROVE ME WRONG RIO!
micheal_warren Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 I'm alrady crying... Calm down there is still a long way to go
Guardian Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 The presentation starts with the most veteran IOC member ever from Brazil. He has been an IOC member since around 1963.
Citius Altius Fortius Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 the voice of Havelange sound very strange - very female...
DannyelBrazil Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 Havelange speaking is too boring... s***

Guardian Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 why are they using jesse owens' clips? Havelange competed in those Games. He is the oldest IOC member there, amongst all 106 of them.
micheal_warren Posted October 2, 2009 Report Posted October 2, 2009 A little boring to start. Tokyo beginning was better
