Sir Rols Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 Yeah, I'm waiting see this onee. I've seen some of the books and this is looking like a high-quality comp. It's one that deserves some thoughtful voting.

Sir Rols Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 How did you manage a sneek peek? I was engaged as a consultant by two bids.
oakydoky Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 I was engaged as a consultant by two bids. A 'consultant' you say. Oh right.
Sir Rols Posted November 1, 2009 Report Posted November 1, 2009 A 'consultant' you say. Oh right. Actually, that's why I didn't enter. I saw how good some of the others were, and didn't think I'd have the time (and was just too lazy) to do one up to the same standard. Three bids ... if you count trying to tell the Brazilians to go with Georgetown over Port Stanley.
thatsnotmypuppy Posted November 2, 2009 Author Report Posted November 2, 2009 Just a heads up - report will be out tomorrow - it's a five city shortlist...
Citius Altius Fortius Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Just a heads up - report will be out tomorrow - it's a five city shortlist... oohh - not all applicant cities were shortlisted? I hope Perth had been shortlisted!!!
thatsnotmypuppy Posted November 2, 2009 Author Report Posted November 2, 2009 No hints at all!!! Five cities - three didn't make it. One bit of news - I threw Islamabad out. After all the bombs and crap going off this week in Islamabad and the full scale anarchy breaking out I decided my bid was in bad taste for a serious competition I may still post my bid brochure though. Nonetheless - about 2 or 3pm Melbourne time tomorrow all will be revealed...
NYCD 2012 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Thats about noon, Singapore time. Btw, Did the Brazilian's Port Stanley count as a bid ?
Rafa Posted November 2, 2009 Report Posted November 2, 2009 Can we fly Giselle in from Dubai to make the announcement of the shortlist? I'm still keen for a vote by private ballot
thatsnotmypuppy Posted November 2, 2009 Author Report Posted November 2, 2009 No to Port Stanley - they didn't submit the required document... I think a private ballot can still be arranged.
Scotguy Posted November 15, 2009 Report Posted November 15, 2009 This competition was one of the best, very high quality from each entrant
