Ahmet
Izmir spent quite a lot of effort and energy to earn the right to host Expo 2015. What a shame.
cesco_82
it was surely a tough game for both of us. a big applause to our turkish friends who played a great match. you are always welcome in milan, of course, to join expo2015 or even before, obviously. good luck, if you want to try again with expo2017/8 or 2020!!! Faster
I don't think it was in any doubt that Milano would win. Hopefully they can resurrect the Expo.
cesco_82
^^ i hope so. the projects are ambitious, and they go through that way too: trying to make Expos more known, visited and appriciated, and meanwhile making them a real occasion of developement and cultural contacts between States. in fact i think the BIE is the 4th international organization under the number-of-members point of view, and it (with the expos) needs and deserves a new boost. Guardian
Now that Expo 2010 in Shanghai has now started, it will be interesting on how Milan and Italy is going to match the power of China's first Expo in 2015.
Rei
Now that Expo 2010 in Shanghai has now started, it will be interesting on how Milan and Italy is going to match the power of China's first Expo in 2015. Apparently, there's no match Guardian. Shanghai is going to have the edge on greatness, that's for sure. Plus, Milan hosting a trade fair is like Rome hosting a cardinals meet. Nothing new. If Milan want to set something the world would come and enjoy it would be better focus on high-quality rather than quantity though.
