Go Madrid

The Scottish Royal Family is supporting Madrid 2016We wish the best of luck to our cousins in Spain Lol. Didn't you know that the Stuarts are not Scotland's 'real' royal family - for goodness sake!
Scotguy
But, my friend, they could be under a restoration in an independent state The line officially ends with Queen Anne and ofcourse Prince Charles Edward Stuart, although it does continue further through relation to the House of Savoy. Through my research and family tree, i have found that on my fathers side, we are decendant from the Savoys. Ofcourse the Stuart name is more Scottish and will be the one that will be used. Isn't that a type of cabbage? I wasn't actually getting at the British royal family but was intimating that the Stuarts were not really Scottish and my extensive study of conspiracy theory leads me to that concluion! Tatsh
Victor Mata
After seeing Madrid's presentation, specially after "Come to Madrid" video I thought the only, only, weak spot was the timing of this bid. Madrid was fantastic and as a Brazilian I was very honored that we won over such a beautiful contender. I sincerely hope Madrid bid and win in 2020! oakydoky
I just watched Madrid's presentation in full. Madrid, in my opinion, had by far the best presentation. The way the videos integrated into each segment, how a little musical accompaniment played between each speaker, the way the presentation was structured from starting with their concept through to the technical side. The full extent of Madrid's brilliance shone through in that bid. the videos were great - I liked the way that Madrid demonstrated their venues, had Mercedes Coghen giving a perspective on Madrid. Everything was clear, concise and beautifully executed! Well done Rio. Hopefully Madrid will get the games soon - they deserve them!
Frenchy
Well done Rio. Hopefully Madrid will get the games soon - they deserve them! Not before Paris though. Spain last hosted them in 1992. The last time we hosted them was in 1924! So Madrid will have to wait a little longer......
