Associated Labels 0
Translink, the body that governs public transportation in Vancouver, has public said that they were threatening to cut 40% of all bus service if it can't raise the necessary funds to maintain it's current transit network. If it doesn't raise the funds, and does cancel 40% of metro Vancouver buses, do you think it will happen before or after the Olympics?
IceNarcissus 0
From what I see the last they could effectively do anything is around the beginning of December when routes and changes being planned from January onwards to April-ish are being finalized. Most likely they will attempt a big move, but I don't think it will be very drastic, seeing as they could be wary of a major overhaul and authority change mandated by the city if they disrupt the games too much for comfort. But, isn't TransLink in an Olympic service period agreement with Metro Van? I don't remember specifically.
