Rio, do not say victory too early.....

Bidindex was wrong most of the time in the last final host city elections....

I think last time they were right was in 2001 for the 2008 SOG election... but was not too hard to predict the result....

I have checked:

2014 election.... Sochi was 2nd

2012 election.... London was 2nd

2010 election.... Vancouver was 2nd

2008 election... Beijing was 1st !!

So may be... it's Chicago's time !!!!!

1.6 ahead of second place. In the last Bidindex For 2012 games, Paris has 1.1 ahead of London, so this Bidindex don't show a clear favourite. But it's good to see Rio in the front in this stage.

Hi Folks

The release says that 'voting patterns'like ' as geo-politics usually have a significant impact', so wich geo-politic factor should be important at this point? Maybe the fact of the sentimental lure of having the first Olympic Games in South America?

From the obvious to the unthinkable one. Including that one your nick made me remind.

Rio will win. My crystal ball predicted London and Sochi too.

And what you crystall ball says for 2020? Cape Town?

I want Cape Town 2020 (If Rio wins 2016).

And Fifa World Cup Australia 2018... Imagine, three World Cups (So. Africa, Brazil, Australia) in a row outside Europe!!! This would be a new world for Fifa!

If Cape Town want to bid for 2020, maybe they will have to fight with another South Africa city. Durban is building an Beautiful olympic stadium for 2010 World Cup. Cape Town stadium for 2010 WC don't have a running track.

Mo Rush, you know anything if Durban have the intent to bid for 2020? Cape Town already have an olympic stadium or they will have to build one? The stadium for 2010 WC can be converted to a olympic stadium?

What do you mean?

I mean I'm afraid. Fear. The favorite does not win.

I agree! I love Australia... For me, Sydney 2000 was the best games ever.

South Africa, Brazil, Australia would be awesome! Three consecutive World Cups in the southern hemisphere...
