Citius Altius Fortius
On the Website of the Munich Bid Organisation it is mentioned that only residents of Germany are allowed to vote according the rules of the IOC Therewith I thought we should start an own poll here on GamesBids Logo No. 1 Münchener Schneekristall (Munich's snow crystal) Logo No. 2 Die Berge beim Föhn (The mountains by Foehn) Logo No. 3 Spuren der Spiele (Traces of the Games) Which logo would you choose? Rob2012
Number 1, but replace the purple, orange and green with red, yellow and black to make it more German.
Citius Altius Fortius
Number 1, but replace the purple, orange and green with red, yellow and black to make it more German. In the description of this logo it is mentioned that everybody is allowed to create its own personal snow crystal in the internet - of course this is valid only, when this logo is elected.... Citius Altius Fortius
mhh - first I thought the second logo is great, but now the first and the third logo grow for me - the "story" of the third one is really nice - I mean that the Games would leave traces behind in Munich - the first one is joyful and it is a fantastic idea that everybody is invited to create an own snow crystal in the internet... cube
#1 by far i really love #1 #2 is horrible - specially the "thing" ( a star?) in the lft upper corner #3 has a nice idea, but it dosen´t work as logo
cslopes54
Number 3 !!!! It's an M looks modern nd it's just not the boring star being used. Sochii has a star, salt lake city, nd chicago is using the concept ehhhh don't really like it. Number 2s mountains reminds me of Japan. So my choice is 3, wished it was red yellow black, nd the graphic wind in blue. But it looks sick!
Citius Altius Fortius
I suppose they didn't use black-red-gold on purpose since they wanted to draw a link with Munich only (black yellow are the colours of Munich) I think the two mountains of the second logo forms a "M" for Munich
cslopes54
I colored red instead of blue, does it look better than the original? Match German colors tho.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/lopescleiton/3775259045/
Citius Altius Fortius
I think the crystal of the first logo proposal reminds me at a star made out of paper.... I do not know if those stars exist somewhere else but in Germany some people make christmas stars out of a sheet of paper - you bend the paper until you have a triangle - then you cut some parts out of it with a scissor - then you get a kind of star

Match German colors tho..http://www.flickr.com/photos/lopescleiton/3775259045/ yeah - that would match more with the German colours, but I think the light blue is more "winterlike" than a light red.... Westfale
Just for the record: The German national colors are black, red and GOLD, not yellow. We are no Belgians!
Kenadian
The first and third one are great! I think the blue diamonds in the first one recalls the Bavarian flag. The colours also echo the look of the 1972 Games.
NY20??
The first one is the best of the three, but I'd like if there were more varied choices. And if they didn't use that font on all three. And I know elements of the logo may still change, but that font feels so used.
Filipe_Golias
I truly like #1 and #3, but the "traces" idea in the latter win it for me. Moreover, it appears more original and fresh as a bid logo, than the snowflake-city name composition of "Münchener Schneekristall".

NYCD 2012
The second proposed logo has more resemblance to the Olympic stadium rather the mountains though... I like both one and two.

baron-pierreIV
I like #1. It would make a great complement to the unique '72 logo!!
wingspread
I voted for number 3, although it does resemble the Torino games look. Number 1 is also nice, but it's too summer-y for me. Good shortlist, though.

I doubt many others outside Germany do either. Oh well, you learn something new everyday.
