1 - Rio/Tokyo (Olympics in cultures where I've never seen them)

2 - Tokyo/Rio (either Rio or Tokyo would be breathtaking)

3 - Chicago (just not excited about yet another US Games)

4 - Madrid (a great city and excellent plan, but too soon for both Europe and Spain)

I think ...

1 - Chicago (although not so sure as before - there are some major weaknesses)

2 - Rio (perhaps not as solid a plan as the others - but the push for S. America will be strong)

3 - Tokyo (the perception that it's too soon/similar to Beijing is wrong - but it's widely held)

4 - Madrid (it's just not Madrid's time despite their excellent bid)

No, Madrid's bid is strong undoubtedly. One of the rules of thumb in Olympic or any sort of bidding if you REALLY want to win -- do NOT underestimate your opponents. I really hope Madrid goes into the vote as #1.

Just as each of you are boosting Madrid's bid; it also becomes the duty of the other boosters to cut down Madrid's (or other cities') chances as early as possible.

All's fair in love and war and the Olympics.

Could go that way because of the simply bad timing of Tokyo and Madrid's choice to bid on 2016. Rio may indeed win over Chicago per your list Mo because they actually show a great desire to host.
