LuigiVercotti Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Sydney 2000: 7.6 million tickets available for approximately 20 million people...88% sold Atlanta 1996: 11 million tickets available for 270 million people...82.3% sold. In other words Baron, when we Aussies build it they will come
Dancer Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Suit U Sir !!! Posted on July 16 2005,05:32-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote (baron-pierreIV @ July 09 2005,18:31) 2016 - New York 2020 - San Francisco 2024 - Chicago 2028 - Los Angeles... God beware !! Someday none of the nations will have interest in coming to the US again ... then you' Americans will have such games as in St. Louis 1904 Let's wait for fantastic games in Vancouver !!! ... then we'll talk about : 2016 Toronto (still a popular candidate city) 2020 Ottawa 2024 Québec ... OK, just a dream  But seriously, stopping the rotation system would mean to hold at least 50% of future Olympiads in Europe. Wath out for the "old continent" : 2016 Paris, FRA 2020 Hamburg / Berlin, GER 2024 Moscow, RUS 2028 Madrid / Barcelona, ESP 2032 Rome, ITA 2036 Stockholm, SWE 2040 Amsterdam, NED 2044 Budapest, HUN 2048 Istanbul, TUR 2052 Vienna, AUT ... a lot of lovely metropols in countries which wait for hosting Olympic Games. Is that enough for you Americans ?

Surferdude Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 Lol Rob. But you forgot to mention a few things Manchester "See we can do it without Bob Scott and without mentioning the Commonwealth" games Liverpool You didn't mention that athletes would be obliged to compete wearing £2.99 nylon shell suits after having an over done hair perm carried out by official Olympic Hair sponsor "Safron and Sharon's Hair Designs" Chelsea Surely this is another London Games (yasss!!), only Abramovich's millions paid for it, that's if he hasn't been extradited to the Kremlin before that. Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll Llantysiliogogogoch You need to mention Japenese TV presenters who would need surgical uncoiling of their mouths each time they mentioned the host city. Not only that, but it would make questions about London's transport look ridiculous. Have you seen the size of the station at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwll Llantysiliogogogoch? The majority of people only buy platform tickets cos there ain't enough room to actually get on a train. Newcastle No mention of the language barrier and the need to train 2 million translators. Paris Sorry Rob, but your geography is a bit off. This would mean that the Games would be in France -which of course would never happen.

Can't fool me. If those are anywhere authentic, you must've forced your aborigines to go in and fill the stands repeatedly, relentessly. You must've.
frenchnounours Posted July 18, 2005 Report Posted July 18, 2005 london has a very very good bid,but rob the best games ever,we shall see . it is a litle, was it the word you love??...arrogant to say that now. :unclesam: anyway i wants games in hawai or in miami (grils in bikini) or in las vegas(love to play & to bluff) go las vegas 2016 :wwww: :wwww: :wwww:

Can't fool me. If those are anywhere authentic, you must've forced your aborigines to go in and fill the stands repeatedly, relentessly. You must've. I was going to source these figures from the same authorities that confirmed that an Anglo-Americo-Australian media conspiracy kidnapped spectators from the 2004 games so that it would make Athens look bad, then I asked for some citations from the same consultants who convinced Dan the Man & Mike the Mayor that yes, the West End Stadium was a shoo-in. But then I decided I'd just make them up after checking the US Census sites here and the IOC's ticket sales figures here. :laughlong:
baron-pierreIV Posted July 18, 2005 Author Report Posted July 18, 2005 OK, you fudged that one. DIdn't realize that Seoul had the lowest figures of all. Sold Sold to OCOG (in millions) 1998 Nagano - 1.434 1.275 89.4% $74 mil 2002 Salt Lake - 1.605 1.525 95% $183 mil

Goes to show that all those media-based kidnappers had a most triumphant campaign
