In an absolute nailbiter of a finish, the Chinese have taken out the win and will stage their first Winter Olympic Games in the North-eastern city of Harbin in 2022!

Congratulations!

Congratulations Harbin ... that's gotta be one of our closest races for a while, between two VERY well planned and presented bids!

Commisserations Anchorage, but a wonderful bid nonetheless!

Thanks everybody, who supported my Harbin bid for 2022!!!

I think that it is very likely that Harbin will host in the first half of the century in reality - I believe it might be a little bit early in 2022, but I think it will become a very tough competitor in the middle/late 20s and 30s!!!

Thanks to the other bids - I think it was a small competition, but the bids were all very good!!!

Oh David, "Vaduz" wasn't even funny.

Of course it wasn't funny, it was serious! :P We had potential you know, accommodation problems for general public are nil, Visa problems are nil, all that was needed were the venues :P, athlete/IOC/media accommodation and other minor facilities. :)

Actually i just learned that Lichtensiten does not recognize the Check Republic and vice versa. :P:rolleyes: , so i guess "Visa problems are nil" bit is incorect.

First of all, it's Czech Republic. Second of all Liechtenstein did not recognize Czechoslovakia, note Czechoslovakia. This was when the country was Communist. Liechtenstein did not permit it's citizens to visit the country. Now the country does recognize the Czech Republic, note the Czech Republic, which is no longer Communist.

Thirdly and lastly, Visa problems are nil because under the soon to be implemented Schengen Area, which is already in place and Liechtenstein has signed and only need to implement, customs borders between Austria and Liechtenstein are removed. Therefore if a person or persons have legally enter either Austria or Switzerland and hold a valid Schengen Area visa, they are entitled to visit Liechtenstein. Those who have legally entered Switzerland are entitled visit to Liechtenstein outright.

So get your facts straight, spelling correct and formatting right. Hate to say this, but noob to you. Perhaps now you really have actually learned something. Oh and actually checking out the bid book would have been proper before you started claiming this and that. ;)
