Guardian
Well, the schedule is quite different from last year, considering that Canada is going to host the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics. Normally, the American Grand Prix event starts things off. Instead, it is Paris and the Trophee event that goes first.

Only the Zhang's are in that category. I am not sure what to make out of the Virtue and Moir result because the Americans and Russians are not there. Kim Yu-Na and Asada Mao's only competition is themselves, they are the type of skaters that can only be between by them losing control in a program
olympian
Virtue and Moir are 2 time World medalists. But its very important for them especially for Vuirtue who underwent surgery last season.

baron-pierreIV
Team USA news front... Sasha Cohen has moved into the Reserve Team status (i.e., she is so far behind in training and probably cannot do those jumps anymore) and Kimmie Miessner has completely disappeared off the radar. Probably injuries and other problems.

Probably injuries and other problems. Miessner has been injured since last season. After a breakout 2006 she experienced a growth spurt by 2008 and hasn't seen competitive ice time since Worlds 2008.
