thatsnotmypuppy
Just got an email - sales start sometime after 10am on Feb 5. Oh good times. I am hoping that there are some Ice Hockey tickets and that the website doesnt crash like it did the first day of Beijing ticket sales.

Oh good times.I am hoping that there are some Ice Hockey tickets and that the website doesnt crash like it did the first day of Beijing ticket sales. Wow. Just wow. Site went live at 10:45. After 45 min, I was able to add tickets to the cart. Decided not to get greedy and go ahead any check out. Everything is going fine, enter CC info (and double check)....bam...failure to connect to host. All tickets lost. Repeat that 2 more times, with less events available each time. My last attempt, I added a single women's hockey ticket....same result. I have a very slim hope my orders went through, but it is doubtful without email confirmation. No luck getting through to CoSport.

I had gotten a lot of really good tickets!
thatsnotmypuppy
There is no sales link for live ticketing on the Aussie cosport site yet - so I have no idea what is going on. The demand for 2010 tickets is low here so they wouldn't need to stagger the onsale times, surely?
rlangmit
I got one hockey ticket (needed an extra for my dad, staying longer than he thought) and then foolishly tried to check the availability of other events. Each page took a long time to load, but eventually did. Then all of a sudden, nothing would load for an hour. This included, of course, my shopping cart. Much later, they had a category A ticket left for the same game, but in the time it took me to decide whether to click it, it was gone. Very disappointing...why can't these sites be built to handle the load? And if anyone has an extra ticket to IH011, I would be interested. =)
thatsnotmypuppy
Hmm, I finally got in - there is a good spread of availability - especially cross country and womens ice hockey - however I cant complete any purchases - the system crashes. Fun!
pax
I had 12 separate attempts fail in the final billing. I also saw tickets they refused me during the lottery turning up the general sales phase. What a joke.
thatsnotmypuppy
I finally got through and got a couple of Men's Ice Hokey prelim seats. Only A reserve were available. Furthermore there were absolutely no Victory Ceremony tickets available at all - so I dont know if us international visitors will get any access at all to them. They are charging $40AU if/when they are available each night. So unless I get victory ceremony tickets my entire Vancouver ticket package is thus - Feb 12 ZO001 Opening Ceremony - B reserve 18:00-21:00 Feb 13 SS001 Speed Skating - B reserve 12:00-14:45 Men's 5,000 m Final ST001 Short Track Speed Skating - B Reserve 17:00-19:45 Ladies' 500 m Qualification Ladies' 3,000 m Relay Qualification Men's 1,500 m Qualification and Final Feb 14 LG002 Luge - B reserve 15:00-19:00 Men's Singles – Runs 3 and 4 (Final) Feb 15 SB001 Snowboard - B reserve 10:30-14:45 Men's SBX Qualification Men's SBX Final Feb 16 CU001 Curling - A reserve 09:00-12:00 Men's Qualification IH011 Ice Hockey – A reserve 21:00-23:30 Men’s Qualification Feb 17 ST002 Short Track Speed Skating - B reserve 17:00-19:15 Men's 1,000 m Qualification Men's 5,000 m Relay Qualification Ladies' 500 m Final Feb 18 BT004 Biathlon - B reserve 10:00-15:00 Women's 15 km Individual Men's 20 km Individual SN001 Skeleton - B reserve 16:00-20:30 Women's/Men's – Runs 1 and 2 (Qualification) Feb 20 FR003 Freestyle Skiing - A reserve 10:00-11:30 Ladies' Aerials Qualification Feb 21 FR004 Freestyle Skiing - B reserve 09:15-13:30 Men's Ski Cross Qualification Men's Ski Cross Final Not bad at all! IamHydro
I spoke to someone at CoSport yesterday and they were able to give me an order number for my orders which did not appear to go through. It sounds much more promising. They said I may get confirmation sometime on 2/6. They also gave me the opportunity to cancel duplicated orders. They guy on the phone said a hacker was responsible for their problems.
pax
Oh boy isn't that a terrifying thought. If all of my supposedly canceled tickets go through that's 60 tickets....
OlympicFan2010
I never got into the website. I was trying for the full hour that the sale lasted. I was literally in tears when I found out that they were all gone. You guys are lucky you even saw the sales counter!!!! I cannot believe I couldn't get in the site, let alone not getting the chance to purchase tickets. Cosport should have anticipated this!!!! Now, I am stuck with just 3 events from the allocation
pax
At least you have something to show for it. Two sales rounds and I haven't gotten a single ticket. I won't be going to Vancouver now.
pax
Got a call from Cosport today, 4 of my failed orders stuck as pending so they called me today to see if I wanted to keep the orders. Don't be surprised if anyone else who timed out gets a call.
thespian333
Much to my suprise, I got a call from Cosport today telling me that my ticket order from last Thursday went through. I was having many of the same time out problems that everyone else seemed to be having. Since I started dealing with Cosport, before Beijing, this is the first thing that they have ever done right. I fully expected them to just ignore my order. So there is still hope left. I will keep my fingers crossed for everyone else! Can any one tell me the best way to go about trading tickets? Is there a website where people go to do this or is just a buy/sell ebay type thing? Best wishes all.
Torchbearer AA
The EXACT same thing happened to me! Is there anything we can do? I had gotten a lot of really good tickets! Also happened to me. But yesterday they sent me an e-mail with the question if they need to process that order, so I now have the tickets.
