Brazil 2014 and the Rio Olympics had similar problems in organization. I wouldn't even know Russia's World Cup and Winter Olympics were even held in the same country, given the contrast of the two. A little bit maybe, but not really. The legacy of Sochi 2014 will always include the resulting doping scandals. So it will take more than a well run World Cup to erase that stain. Quote
