Daze
A short explanation would have been nice. What does the stars stand for?
Ikarus360
Mohan @mohashdotnet 6 minHace 6 minutos What is that logo? Looks like an alien pup drooling! #Russia2018 https://twitter.com/NiceBastard/status/527207222372478976 Not even 10 minutes had passed and the jokes begin. Sir Rols
It's nice. Best WC logo for a long while.
BTHarner
Given the trend in recently unveiled logos for other FIFA competitions, I'd say that this was rather predictable. As for the stars within the circles, I count 11 so maybe it represents the 11 host cities.

phandrosis
The animation kinda helped me figure out the logo. Before that, I didn't really pick up the top part was actually supposed to be the ball I thought it was the back of someones head...
baron-pierreIV
It's kinda corny. But what if there are boycotts? Then what's the point??

Durban Sandshark
Does remind me of the Norelco 3 heads. I like it. But doesn't that logo strikes me as something with those humans willfully submitting their lifeforces to those three alien motherships? I agree with BTHarner, those stars do represent the host Russian cities.
DannyelBrazil
I liked the logo, it does scream Russia to me, but couldn't miss the joke...

woohooitsme83
Logo kinda looks like a person with semi-long hair and a gas mask with his/her/its head tilted and to the side (looking at you) or a person with semi-long hair with his/her/its head tilted and to the side (looking at you) with sparkling eyes and a blue antenna circle thingy maybe
baron-pierreIV
I do use the Norelco 3-header. Now I'll never be able to look at it in the same way again.

mattygs
I like it, though the explanation seems a bit weak. FIFA really do seem to be having an identity crisis with branding their world cups though, they seem to be craving to come up with an equiv of the Olympic rings. We had the attempt to use the 2002 logo in all subsequent logos, then moved to the frame format of the South Africa 2010 logo (which most of the other fifa championships and events also used, and now all FIFA logos seem to be taking the form of the trophy of the event. StefanMUC
Be intersting to see if the collapse of the Ruble will have any impact. Nope. Putin himself said that it's inevitable that Russian economy will grow again in two years at the latest. Then this must happen, if Vlad tells so, no?
