Wow, and people thought I was mean-spirited when it comes to newbies

It's totally warranted. He's had ample opportunity to get it together. What is a Republican? COME ON.

The Conservatives. Prince Phillip will be King after the Queen Elizabeth.

I am not a troll. Stop accusing me. I have been trolled online before, so I wouldn't troll.

PRINCE PHILIP WILL BE KING??????!!!!!!

Prince Philip cannot become king. I'm not a Brit, but even I know that.

The UK doesn't celebrate America's Independence Day.

No idea how many Elizabeth's either, apparently. The answer is 2.

Astonishing.

I know. I meant Charles. My mistake.

Sure you did.

I think it's funny that Hadid is trying to defend it. Sorry Hadid.. it DOES look like a vagina whether that was your intent or not.

Yup. Why doesn't she just go with it? She can be the Georgia O'Keefe of architecture.

Prince Philip as king? Now he's really lost it. Even if Queen Elizabeth abdicates, it will be Prince Charles who ascends to the throne, not the Queen's hubby.

Knock Knock. I am a Londoner. We have Labour and Conservatives over here. Not Republicans and Democrats.

I meant Prince Charles. I made a mistake. I knew it was Prince Charles. @AthensFan, stop picking out bad points about me.

If you would like further clarification, I'm sure someone here would be happy to go into further detail, but I'm pretty sure Wikipedia is accessible for London. Tony.. we get that you're an over-eager teenage kid and that's fine, but please remember that this is a discussion forum, not a chat room. If you post something like "what is a Democrat," in the time it takes for one of us here to see that post and respond to it, you can look up the information yourself and maybe find the answer you're looking for.

Ever heard of Google? I know your country's political parties. Take 15 seconds and learn about ours instead of posting annoying questions. Really fed up with your lack of courtesy.

Look. Instead of causing unnecessary arguments, if I have annoyed you, PM me and we can sort it in private. Otherwise, everyone gangs up on me. I'm 16, how am I supposed to know what American parties are. I am English. Next time, I will research.

I am English.

Hmmmm. Don't Brits normally say "British"? "English" sounds so, I dunno, 18th century...

Tony E, this is a rhetorical remark. NO NEED for you to reply.

When I was abroad a few years ago in a bar with some mates and someone asked what nationality we were we all said English. It struck me afterwards that that was odd. Most "native" British people would probably self-describe as English, Scottish, Welsh, whilst if you're of Indian or Pakistani origin or whatever you're more likely to say British.

In fact, the BBC did a survey on this exact question only a few months ago if you're genuinley interested....

Interesting distinction, Rob. OK, I understand. It's just that there are so many 'strange' inconsistencies for this "16-year lad" from London. Not that I'm going to lose any sleep over it. BTW, speaking of Anglomania, I can't wait for the premiere of DOWNTON ABBEY, season 4 tonite!!

None of what I just said about ethnicity is a hard and fast rule as you can see from the survey.

But self-describing as English definitely isn't 18th Century. I find it interesting that you would perceive it that way. :)

Amen to that! Although I'm more than a bit worried that it won't fly right minus Matthew....

It's Unique. I don't know if I can add anymore to that.

Did no one find this as funny as I did?

I meant the Stadium. Not Hadid's actual Vagina.

I know. It just seemed that way. . Btw, why did you capitalize vagina?

Of all the Brits I've met, very few identify themselves first as British - Welsh, Scottish, English - they all proudly flaunt their red dragons, thistles and roses first. Then the Union Flag and Queen.

Compared to other countries, a Canadian overseas likely wouldn't self describe as a Albertan or Ontarian, just as an American wouldn't self describe as a Californian or Minnesotan...except maybe the Quebecois and Texans.

Corrupt! Fifa has ruled out a Summer World Cup in 2022. So basically, they will interrupt the whole world for Qatar. You are failing to reform Fifa Blatter!
