English Kev Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 France has 3 IOC members. I dont know where you have found that there are 4 french IOC members GB news report that includes details of the voting procedure . It says FRance has 4 IOC members 3 of whom will be present in Singapore . Perhaps they've gotten it wrong .
zoltan Posted June 29, 2005 Author Report Posted June 29, 2005 yes they are wrong. there are 5 french IOC members, but only 3 are active members. and only 2 over 3 will be in Singapour
English Kev Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 ' About 100 IOC members will be eligible to vote in the first round of balloting. The current IOC president, members from potential host countries on the ballot (France has 4 members and 3 attending, United States has 3, Russia has 3, UK has 3 and Spain has 2) and absentee members are not eligible to vote (there are 116 total members available to vote – at least 1 has already confirmed his absence). ' ======== Thanks Zultan
PYRROS2004 Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 The same happened with Rome for the 2004 voting. They had 4 members, but only 3 voted (I think Primo Nebiolo didn't vote).
baron-pierreIV Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 That's why Paris has been ahead all along.
Guardian Posted June 29, 2005 Report Posted June 29, 2005 Only ACTIVE IOC members can vote. I'll put the topic I made about this on the top of the section as best as I can.
