mnrussia04
Umm...dont they only release stamps to the city to actually have already won the bid, in the actual bid process, bc the theoretically the stamp is useless if the city loses and they make so many stamps. Just a hunch or if they actually do make stamps dont know where.

And it would usually happen in the year leading up to or the year of the actual Games. Many other countries that aren't hosting, also issue Olympic stamps in the Olympic years to honor their teams. troubles
Paris 2012 monthly newsletter has stamps in it... you collect them and hopefully there will be an album to stick them in (though the album might have already been sent out and I missed that issue) Is this rare ? Should I be putting them on ebay in a few weeks time ?

Should I be putting them on ebay in a few weeks time ? Yeah, you could put them up close to July 6 -- because that's when interest for the Bid stuff gets really hot. But the Paris stamps will likely increase in value. However, like anything, it's finding the right buyer to go for your price.
troubles
well looking at all the paris supporters on this site, there's bound to be at least 2 that are interested. Could end up with a bid war over them but then again I might only get enough for the stamps to cover the cost of the stamp to post them :grinning:
