Techno Dragon
Well, now that a new mayor has been elected in Toronto, how will the preparations for the 2015 Pan American Games be affected by Ford's election to the office? It'll be intriguing - ie the transporation that was to be built for the pan-am games appear to be going down the tubes now. But Ford hasnt said much about it - and nothing has really leaked about it yet. I imagine he'll be fine with it so long as there is very little cost for the city. But Ford hasnt said much about it - and nothing has really leaked about it yet. I imagine he'll be fine with it so long as there is very little cost for the city. Let's just hope that he doesn't make Toronto unattractive for future events to come. Besides, with 2010 about to close soon, Toronto has virtually no time to waste on building and/or renovating the venues necessary for a successful Pan American Games. Diana
Should have agreed to reno Ivor Wynne Stadium a long time ago. That is the best solution for PAG and for the Ticats.
Lord David
^^ Actually it wouldn't have solved the athletics stadium problem, just add another venue for football, unless of course they widen it enough to fit a temporary track. Gangwon
This is more about Canada at next year's London Olympics, but I figured this would be of more interest to us here than the Brits at the London 2012 board. It does briefly mention the Pan Am Games too. Canada gearing up for London with momentum from 2010

Diana
Baseball > Softball any day. But women's softball is already on the program. Softball (played only by women in the OG) and baseball (men) were dropped from the program. Women don't usually play baseball. Both groups have been lobbying to get back into the OG.
