Sir Rols
Well, first athletic action at the Bird's Nest this morning (see some heptathlon heats so far) and gotta say the stadium is decked out impressively. Looks like a great venue. Now for the action!

Faster
Also Pierre Brown has advanced, so its been a good day for the Canadians in the Bird's Nest. A Canadian finished 6th in the 200m breaststroke, which was a strong result.
theone
The cauldron looks great up there! Blends well with the rim of the nest. The stadium looks so massive. The top sprinters were jogging their way through to the 2nd round and still timed at about 0.3s - 0.4s off their best. It just shows how much effort is required to run just a tad bit faster. Olympian2004
He didn't even remain in his sprinter position throughout the whole race, he already celebrated about five or ten metres in front of the line -- that means that he could have run even faster!
