Good result for India! This must be their first gold in Olympic competition for a while?

First Olympic gold since 1980 and first ever individual gold medal.

Well, if this drought in the medal standings continue for the whole first week for Canada, I bet Jacques Rogge will be making a personal call to the team again.

Men's Team Gymnastics

Gold - China

Silver - Japan

Bronze - USA

I'm happy for China, especially for the veteran of now 3 Games, Yang Wei. After the disappointments in Athens, they faced an Olympics at home, but they didn't let the pressure get to them and in the end, pulled out a fantastic win.

And great job, Team USA! Considering that all of them are first-time Olympians and were counted out after the Hamm brother pulled out, this Bronze is that much more special for them.

Women's Synchronised 10m Platform

G: China

S: Australia

B: Mexico

First medal for Mexico.

Men's Double Trap

G: ELLER Walton (USA)

S: D ANIELLO Francesco (ITA)

B: HU Binyuan (CHN)

The Italian fell to the ground bawling (it wasn't a simple cry) afterward. That silver meant a lot to him.
