rav3n Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Lol, i've been hearing Mariachis for a long time on this parade WTF. I tought the olympics were on China xD
Pui from HK Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Oh it's really funny: The uniform of Spain and Sweden are both provided by the Li Ning Sport Wear Company. This company is so-called the "Nike of China", and was formed by the famous athlete, 3 times Gold medalist Li Ning. Then, we will see Li Ning himself will light up the flame. Interesting enough.
seamus21514 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I liked the Irish Uniform, but I'm a bit biased. I liked the Kiwi one alot also.
nykfan845 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I liked the Irish Uniform, but I'm a bit biased. I liked the Kiwi one alot also. I didn't like the Irish uniform color at all. It completely washed them out.
theone Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I liked the Swedish women's cheongsams, and the Kiwi's looked pretty good just then. That's what I thought too.. nice colors.. the Kiwi shirts almost looked like "batik" design.
olympian Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I liked Gonzalez for Chile. Yum. Spain David Cal Figueroa also looks good. Chile's Gonzalez looks good in the poncho and sombrero.
Kenadian Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 This is the parade that never ends...it goes on and on my friends...some athletes started marching, not knowing when to stop, and now they'll continue it....OK, I kinda miss the old days of the marching athletes. Since 1988, they just saunter into the stadium like they were going to the mall. The old way would have been faster. Can we get rid of or combine some countries? And BTW, WTF is up with the bagpipes? Glasgow 2008?
rav3n Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Only three teams left for the entrance of China and the end of the loooong looong but always interesting parade of athletes
Stu Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Nearly there - I've filled my quota of 'Scotland the Brave' on the bagpipes for 2008!
Kenadian Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Ohhhh, the Aussies coming and soon it is China! Two big teams, two big hosts.
