dave199 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 It's bound to happen. These boards tend to crash with the increase in traffic during the games. I remember how slow they were during Torino. Has the board been upgraded since?
Sir Rols Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 If I remember rightly, it was just after the ceremonies in Athens that the board crashed. It was so bloody frustrating. At te very least, you'd hope signed-up members should get preference for access if the numbers logging on here start to get unmanageable.

I remember losing my patience because it took like 5 minutes to load one page. It was beyond unbearable. The mod should have learned from the past and hopefully upgraded the board and what bandwidth it can withstand from a dramatic spike in traffic which is inevitable tomorrow.
wingspread Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Is the chat room still operational? Why not move the live discussion there? Five and a half hours to go!
NYCD 2012 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Oh yea.... theres a bunch of extras guests who already been lagging the forum there two weeks . I have to agree with Vito , the chatroom would be nice !
micheal_warren Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 all outsiders should be banned during the opening ceremony and premium members should get preference!
NYCD 2012 Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 I agree ! They should all those guest in the forum. They're lagging the whole thing !
Citius Altius Fortius Posted August 8, 2008 Report Posted August 8, 2008 Yeah - I agree members and premium members should have preference!
dave199 Posted August 8, 2008 Author Report Posted August 8, 2008 I must say I'm surprised that the boards haven't slowed down yet but I'm not that confident it'll stay that way much longer. The ceremonies are about to get underway.
