/\ /\ No; Gonzalez had what he had coming to him. He's a cheat.

There aren't any serious athlete's who would have done things any differently to Gonzalez in his match with James Blake - it wasn't Gonzalez's fault; it was the fault of the match referee for not paying attention.

Blake gestured at Gonzalez to tell the referee that the ball hit his racket - but he looked him in the eye and didn't say anything. Whether most people would do that or not, it's still low, especially in Tennis.

Congrats to Nadal. Great year for him. And congrats to Serena and Venus for winning the Women's Doubles tournament too.

Yeah, right... González was a cheater and Blake losing three match points was his fault also... ¬¬

The problem was the umpire... it wasn't Gonzalez's work to say if a point is right or wrong. Besides, I don't think Blake or any other tennis player would say "Umpire, you're wrong...". No one would say that his ball went out if it is counted as in, etc, etc...

No one is saying that Blake would have won; he was playing really bad. What is being argued, however, is that Gonzalez should have had some integrity for himself and for the sport and admitted that it was Blake's point after the ball touched his racket - Something that a lot of Tennis players would have done or at least you would hope so, you know this being a "Gentleman's Sport."
