thatsnotmypuppy Posted March 25, 2008 Author Report Posted March 25, 2008 Just to reiterate - the bid books are to be submitted as word docs or PDF files and emailed me at nyc2012@gmail.com I've been given a submission in the format of a website (bebo no less), and as such that bid will need to be resubmitted in the agreed upon format - so just making sure those who are still to submit their bids know whats happening.
Scotguy Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 I've been given a submission in the format of a website (bebo no less), and as such that bid will need to be resubmitted in the agreed upon format - so just making sure those who are still to submit their bids know whats happening. As the bid in question i would like to now state that i have completed a bid book on the same level as my fellow competitors, and thus will be submitting this in accordance with the rules. The website will remain, as any applicant city in real terms, does have a website for its bid, however this is not the main bid document which is in the form of a word processed book. I hope that everyone enjoys reading and looking over my proposals, and that they will recognise the potential of my bid.
Lord David Posted March 29, 2008 Report Posted March 29, 2008 Ok, so the deadline is the 30th right? It's midnight the 30th here, I'm gonna catch some Zzz's then hopefully wake up in the morning to finish off my bid book, hopefully it will be done. Hopefully you won't mind TNMP if it ends up a little late in your time (though being in Oz, I do get the advantage of an extra day) So basically speaking bt the end of the 30th my time, it would be most certainly done.
thatsnotmypuppy Posted March 31, 2008 Author Report Posted March 31, 2008 OK - so thus far I have the bid books for Aomori, Canberra, Denver, Tehran and Zaragoza. That is all that has arrived to my gmail - so if anyone else has tried and failed let me know ASAP or try sending again to nyc2012@gmail.com.

Sure, Scotland is a part of the UK, but IOC terms, it's not considered it's own country. Ok, this is just a fantasy bid, it's just generalizing and more importantly it's a helpful identifier, but logic says that its a UK bid.
Lord David Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Oh and what ever happened to that crazy Ugandan bid?
Faster Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 Its Great Britain actually, since Northern Ireland can compete with the Republic.

Due to a massive storm in Melbourne yesterday which knocked out power to my place and, oh, 230,000 others there will be a slight delay in uploading the bid books. Sorry about that guys!
