So Houston is hosting the Super Bowl and related events for the next 9 days, and I'm dreading it a bit. When they were in town 13 years ago I was working in the Galleria, the busiest shopping mall and area in Houston, and there wasn't a lot of money to be made during this time because the massive crowds of locals and visitors flocked here thinking they'll catch a glimpse of an A-list celebrity, which they didn't. I think some folks here, even the non-Americans, will get a kick out of this.. Minneapolis was recently awarded the 2018 Super Bowl. They are currently building a new stadium, so the league rewarded them by giving them the next available Super Bowl. However, the NFL gave them a long list of demands that they have to adhere to in order to host the event. Things like police escorts and hotel rooms.
