Just having a read over a bit if Greek mythology this morning, after seeing the terrible Sci-Fi horror Prometheus. Interestingly, it lead me into a possible concept for the Sochi ceremonies that could involve the lighting of the cauldron. I understand that it leads to a concept that could be very "Athens 2004", but it might form an important part linking the host region, the Russian Caucasus, to ancient Greece. It's also a nod to Ancient Greece, birthplace of the Olympics. I'm not sure there has ever really been a segment at the Winter Olympics that acknowledges ancient Olympia to this extent?
