The process to determine the 2026 mascots began last March when the OCOG invited schools across Italy to submit their ideas and designs. By July, the OCOG announced it had received ~1,600 entries, and that it selected ten designs to advance to the next stage. Since then, two pairs have continued with the process and will be put up to a public vote, with ITG reporting that the winner will be revealed at the 2023 Sanremo Festival, a process that is identical to the one used to select the Olympic emblem. If this is still true, then voting should start really soon, as the festival runs from Feb 7 - 11. What do you guys think the mascots will look like?

The Paris 2024 Games may have not yet started, but that hasn't stopped Milano Cortina 2026 from releasing the official ticketing platform! The process is similar to that of Paris - you can now officially sign up for a draw between now and January 2025. Starting in February, if you are successful in the draw, you will then be able to buy your Olympic tickets. If you're unsuccessful or miss the draw, all remaining tickets will be made available to everyone in April. Tickets for the Paralympic Games go on sale on March, and there is no draw. First come, first served. So, if you're interested in the draw, here is the link: https://tickets.milanocortina2026.org/en/
