  1. New: Architecture of the Games Magazine #1 - January 2018 In ‘Architecture of the Games Magazine’ we take a look at the Olympic Games from the perspective of the designer. We will be paying special attention to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang. Other topics include Rio 2016, the new Candidature Process for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games and the Olympic Legacy of Barcelona 1992 and London 2012. In the last section you will find a report of our visit to ‘Olympic Capital’ Lausanne. 2. Have you ever come across the logo of a company, organization, or office that made you think, "Heh, that would make a great Olympic logo"? For those who have participated in the logo design comps, what about those logos that have inspired you? This post was inspired by drawing the similarity of the Tokyo 2020 emblem with the Théâtre de Liège logo. Share those designs that you've come across and tell us why you think they'd make a good games logo for any particular city or time.
  3. I just across this video which I think is silly, but does present something to think about when it comes to design. I actually liked her reaction to the London emblem. She interpreted it as something exciting and vibrant, which is what I think London was trying to do. Anyway, here's the video. Here's link if embed doesn't work:
  4. Hye everyone!as mentioned before, here's our latest Competition! Rio-2016-Logo by atifnadzir, on Flickr Print by atifnadzir, on Flickr Over the next 3 weeks post your own design in this thread. 5. Tony E Loves Architecture

    Favorite Stadium Designs.

I will put up 2 Stadium Designs and everyone can vote on their favorite one. This is an Opinion poll and not a fact. The Stadium choice should be based on Architectural Design and not Location, Capacity or History. Here is the first duo: Maracana, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. VS National Stadium, Brasilia, Brazil.
  6. since 18oct,this thread is quite.im thinking that we should have a new design competition.just a minor one that wont take long..any idea on what it should be?i have a few ideas 1)rio torch and cauldron design 2)2020 olympic stadium 3)2020 olympic logo 4)rio mascot 5)masterplan design
  7. This is not paul92's Olympic Candidate City Design Contest. Instead it's my version of bid logos for each city that is competing. I might put up a poll at the end so you can vote on which one looks best. Please remember, this is not our fellow members' logos, but ones I have made. So I'll start with Olympic Fan Darcy's city: Brisbane (and yes, this means YOU gotta make your own logo for the real deal! ) Feel free to argue and discuss! - Hey, I might even bail out on this one too and just have Brisbane up here all alone.
