  1. And welcome back everyone for the Quarter Finals of the GamesBids Olympic Logo Winners' Cup! And we've sure got some mouthwatering quarter finals lined up! Thanks for everyone that voted - and sorry if I've had to spam to get people involved - just as I've mentioned elsewhere, without status updates, it's hard to promote these comps now. And it's about time Blake contributed something useful to the board. Anyway, in the pool round we had a mix of clear results and a few draws, where I've (and I must say, it's for the first time ever in these comps) had to cast the deciding votes/take
  2. You can never get too much of Conchita, can you? (Though I have to admit that, believe it or not, that’s the first time I’ve ever heard or seen that song… perfect Eurovision, or Logo Comp, fodder). Ladies and Gentlemen, Mesdames et Monsieurs, Damen und Herren, Distinguished Guests, and ofan, Welcome back to Salzburg. It’s been a long and tumultuous (though surprisingly not as tumultuous as some past years) road to whittle down our astounding 45 starting entries one victorious design. The time has come to see which of our entries has Risen Like a Phoenix to take the mantle of GamesBids Wint
  3. And yet another nail-biting round has closed with only two points separating all three contenders and the top two tied. This sets the scene for a knife-edge head-to-head fight for the final crown. The final results were: Barcelona (Danny) - 9 points Borjomi (barrack) - 11 votes Melbourne (aismanggo) - 11 points All votes cast were valid. We say goodbye to Danny's Barcelona. It's always tough come the final stages and get so close. Sad to see this one go Danny, but you get the Bronze Medal and I know you have a hot contender for Tokyo. So now we go to the decider, with barrac
  4. Phew, that last round was close. With 30 members voting, there was only a point separating the top three. Unfortunately, we now see Paul's Harbin design drop out - Bye Bye Burr! Thanks for entering Paul, great to see you back in the arena and looking forward to see how your Tokyo logo fares in the 2020 section of the comp. The final results were: Barcelona (Danny) - 8 points Borjomi (barrack) - 8 votes Harbin (Paul) - 5 votes Melbourne (aismanggo) - 9 points All votes cast were valid. So aismanggo's Melbourne keeps its lead from every round, but that lead has dramatically narrowed. This
  5. Well, in just two rounds weve managed to get 45 entries down to a final four - it may not have been pretty, but there was always going to be carnage to get to this point. Im sad to see some of these go - well done to all of you, thanks and commiserations. We had a strong voting turnout of 32 members )one of them late - see below - I've accepted it at organiser's discretion) having their say. For the first time ever, weve now gone three rounds without me needing to discount anyones votes - not even the usual January ring-ins tried it on again this year. The results were: A (Anthony)
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xIjobdArtiA Well, who else was a going to open the voting? Conchita is booked for the results announcement. And speaking of Conchita to host and guide us through the voting rounds, we have the two most famous Austrians in the entire universe, the delightful and divine Miss Conchita Wurst Wurst and the former Terminator, Governator and now Logonator, Arnold Schwarzenegger! Conchita: Wilkommen to Salzburg! Und the launch of voting for the GamesBids 2022 Vinter Olympic Games Logo Comp, Cut-und-Paste edition. Ve are just so excited to see you all here.
