New: Architecture of the Games Magazine #1 - January 2018 In ‘Architecture of the Games Magazine’ we take a look at the Olympic Games from the perspective of the designer. We will be paying special attention to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang. Other topics include Rio 2016, the new Candidature Process for the 2026 Olympic Winter Games and the Olympic Legacy of Barcelona 1992 and London 2012. In the last section you will find a report of our visit to ‘Olympic Capital’ Lausanne. Have you ever come across the logo of a company, organization, or office that made you think, "Heh, that would make a great Olympic logo"? For those who have participated in the logo design comps, what about those logos that have inspired you? This post was inspired by drawing the similarity of the Tokyo 2020 emblem with the Théâtre de Liège logo. Share those designs that you've come across and tell us why you think they'd make a good games logo for any particular city or time.

I just across this video which I think is silly, but does present something to think about when it comes to design. I actually liked her reaction to the London emblem. You are not allowed to use someone else's design or sketches. You must design Rio 2016 Olympic Torch in 3 weeks.It will be great if you can comeout with the cauldron design too but the cauldron design will not be count as part of the judgement in this competition. Please don't enter something you designed outside this time period. Use any software you like.You can sketch manually,or using any technology methods,such as bamboo pad,adobe photoshop,illustrator,3dsmax,sketchup,or any rendering programme but everything must be your own work.Any plagiarism work will disqualified your submission. maximum 1 entry per member.maximum 4 images only for final submission in JPEG or PNG Your images must be no larger than 1024 pixels wide.
